The narrow twist make this a since to saddle and a pleasure to ride. Extreme comfort with a plush double padded distressed leather seat. The tall cantle and suede seat material create a pocket that will allow for security and confidence on the trails. Long strings make room for all your trail gear and quilted cordura fabric adds a nice touch to the design of this saddle. And it not only feels good - it's feels light when you go to saddle up - only 21 pounds!

Built on a Eddie Steele flexible tree for a better fit for your horse. Choose between the Regular tree for a more narrow horse with higher withers, or the Wide tree for the broader-shouldered horse.

- Seat: 15", 16", 17" Double Padded Distressed or Grainout Leather. *Due to the extra padding in the seat, we recommend you go up one size from the seat you normally get.
- Cantle: 4" on Regular Tree, 5" on Wide Tree
- Gullet: 6.5" on Regular Tree, 7" on Wide Tree
- Rigging: Stainless Steel dees
- Skirt Length: 26"

When measuring for a child's Western saddle, have them sit down in a chair. Once seated, use a measuring tape to measure the length of their upper leg from the knee to their rear. The saddle should be about 10% longer than the child's upper leg. For example: If the child's leg measures 9 inches, then the child's Western saddle should be 10 inches.
There is a lot of room for personal preference with seat sizing, but as a general rule it is better to error on the side of ordering a seat size that is too large rather than erring on the side of a seat that will be too small.

There is a lot of room for personal preference with seat sizing, but as a general rule it is better to error on the side of ordering a seat size that is too large rather than erring on the side of a seat that will be too small.
Things to Consider
- Tucker adds 1/2inch to their seat sizes (due to thick seat padding)
16.5” Tucker = 16” normally
- Barrel riders usually take 1” less on the seat size
16” Trail Rider = 15” Barrel Rider
- Ranch (slick seats) usually ride smaller (1/2inch seat size) so they don’t slide around
16” is for most men, 15” for most women
- Trail Saddles with High Cantles (5”) make the seat sizes feel smaller
Trail Saddle with 5” cantle will feel smaller in the seat than one with a 3.5” cantle
- English Saddles don’t convert exactly but often are 2” bigger
18” English = 16” Western
- Riders with inseams under 30” or 5’ tall and under often need custom cut fenders
Tall riders with long legs but lighter weight may need custom cut fenders as well

lady Light saddle While I have been unable to use this saddle due to my horse being unsound I can say without hesitation that it very well made and beautiful! I have sat in it on a stand and it feels good. I have been thinking about unretiring my old horse just so I can ride around the pasture at a walk and use the saddle. I have no thoughts on selling it. I keep hoping my 7 year old can someday return to being ridden.

Fits my horse... mostlyI'm not overly impressed by this saddle. It was not quite the color I anticipated -- there seem to be several shades of red/ brown throughout. For the price paid, I expected everything to match .
The seat is supposed to be extra padded. It doesn't feel more/ less padded than any other saddle I've ridden in on longer rides (2-4 hours). My older, well used saddle is more comfortable in the seat.
The left fender/ stirrup rubs on our leg/ ankle areas. Regardless of how we adjust the fenders/ stirrups... and even after the addition of stirrup turners... it continues to rub. During longer rides (2-4 hours) this is annoying. I ride most of the trail without stirrups, but my husband does not. Since we both have the same issue with feet in the stirrup, it's the design.
That being said, the saddle is 100% usable for riding and extremely light compared to my other saddles. It mostly fits our newer horse and only requires a small bit of shimming to keep it off his trouble areas.
Would I recommend it? If you want a lighter saddle that is easier to tote around, have an easy to fit horse, and don't mind looking cobbled together down trail, sure. Myself, I would not purchase this saddle again.

Comfortable saddle!We had to replace the cordura fenders with leather. The cordura abraded my horses side and left her raw and hairless on both sides. The leather fenders work soooo much better for my girl thanks to AJ. She was very helpful from the onset of the issue and suggested covering the cordura until the new fenders arrived. The new fenders cause no issues and I have a very happy horse. As for the saddle itself, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it! The cushy seat, the correct size seat, well, I just cant say enough about this saddle! I think I actually ride better thanks to this great saddle! Thank you, AJ and horsesaddle shop!

Finally a comfy saddleI had been searching for a saddle for months. Saddle i had left me in unbareable pain on the trail. After research revealed I wasn't crazy. Woman are built different & it wasn't just me. Every saddle i tried pinched a nerve. I was about to give up. Took a chance on this one. First of all phenomenal customer service. Recieved my order in 2 days after ordering. Saddle is sharp looking. Got lots of comments from fellow riders. Rode 20 mins & wasn't in any pain. I absolutely love it!
Pros:Leather. Cut for a woman
Cons:Only complaint is cinch strap is nylon. Going to order a leather one. We tighten with a knot instead of the buckle so doesn't stay as tight as I'd like.
