Sheridan Flex2 Trail Saddle 1572
Circle Y continues to improve its Flex-Lite tree technology. The 'Sheridan' Trail Saddle has been equipped with their new Flex2 tree design. This tree has been coated with DURAhide to ensure that it stays strong and resistant to the elements. It also contains Circle Y's new high density and low-density bars, making sure that the saddle conforms to your horse perfectly, even while in motion.
The Flex2 skirts have a shock-absorbing neoprene filler to keep you comfortable after hours in the saddle. Best of all, the Circle Y Softee seat jockey and fender leather provide a "ready to ride" feel, eliminating the painful breaking-in process of your new saddle.
This saddle also features a beautiful old west tooled border.

When measuring for a child's Western saddle, have them sit down in a chair. Once seated, use a measuring tape to measure the length of their upper leg from the knee to their rear. The saddle should be about 10% longer than the child's upper leg. For example: If the child's leg measures 9 inches, then the child's Western saddle should be 10 inches.
There is a lot of room for personal preference with seat sizing, but as a general rule it is better to error on the side of ordering a seat size that is too large rather than erring on the side of a seat that will be too small.

There is a lot of room for personal preference with seat sizing, but as a general rule it is better to error on the side of ordering a seat size that is too large rather than erring on the side of a seat that will be too small.
Things to Consider
- Tucker adds 1/2inch to their seat sizes (due to thick seat padding)
16.5” Tucker = 16” normally
- Barrel riders usually take 1” less on the seat size
16” Trail Rider = 15” Barrel Rider
- Ranch (slick seats) usually ride smaller (1/2inch seat size) so they don’t slide around
16” is for most men, 15” for most women
- Trail Saddles with High Cantles (5”) make the seat sizes feel smaller
Trail Saddle with 5” cantle will feel smaller in the seat than one with a 3.5” cantle
- English Saddles don’t convert exactly but often are 2” bigger
18” English = 16” Western
- Riders with inseams under 30” or 5’ tall and under often need custom cut fenders
Tall riders with long legs but lighter weight may need custom cut fenders as well
Checking the Fit
- General Guideline is about 3 fingers between your thigh and the swell.

Love this saddle!Love this saddle. My horse has a very short back and this was the shortest of the Flex 2 line. It puts my legs right under me where they should be. The seat makes me feel very secure. The saddle sits a bit high on the horse and at first I thought that would be a problem, but it is great. My horse has no sweat over the spine after riding. It also feels like my horse is able to move under the saddle which allows me to feel my horse better, like bareback. I have tried on several saddles and my horse also likes this one the best. She is very happy with it. The shock absorption is amazing with this saddle. First time out on the trail l thought I was riding in a Cadillac. Can highly recommend!

XWide Draft Horse TreeI ordered this saddle in August and it took approximately 2 months to arrive. I had been through so many saddles trying to fit my Cob. It set on my hard to fit horse like a glove
and is very comfortable for riding. It is very attractive and light weight. 5 stars there! I had an issue with the saddle sliding forward on my horse despite no indication of poor fit. A tacky pad solved this issue. As for quality, 4 stars, I would have preferred leather latigos versus nylon (an additional expense after an expensive saddle purchase), and there are some areas along the seat seams that don't look as durable for long term use. Time will tell. Overall, I love it!

I love this saddle.The saddle is wonderful. The more I ride my horse with this saddle, the more the saddle moulds to my horse's torso to fit better. The saddle allows me to ride my horse pain free for longer periods of time. Both my horse and I are ecstatic with the purchase of this saddle.

Comfortable and lightweight trail saddleI ordered the Sheridan for three purposes: 1. I'm an older rider who needed something light weight after having surgery 2. Needed an extra wide tree 3. Comfort and balance for me and the horse I've found this to be extremely comfortable for long rides and easy to get on and off. The horse I bought it for loves it; however, the saddle seems to work quite well on my normal withered/shouldered TWH as well with a thick pad! A shout out to Circle Y! I do agree, though, that the fenders are too far forward. Thank you, Josh, at Horse Saddleshop for hooking me up with this nice saddle!

Nice, lightweight trail saddleThis saddle is an excellent trail riding saddle. Lightweight makes it easy on the horse over a long ride, and easy for a woman to hoist up on a tall horse. The crupper D and flank cinch rigging helps add stability in the hill country. The soft leather feels good from day one. It's easy to attatch saddle bags. I got the wide tree, which works well on mutton withered small horses as well as the big quarter horse types. My only complaint is how far forward the stirrups are hung. I would like them to be a little more under my seat for a better balance, but overall, this saddle is very comfortable and made with nice leather.
